Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. He is the child of Manny James as well as Patty James of mixed race. Her mother is caucasian while his father was Nigerian. When he graduated of Sanderson High School, in 2010, he attended Wake Forest University and obtained his Bachelor's in Economics. James' fame kick-started after he appeared on screen for his debut on the reality TV star in The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was picked to become the 25th season bachelor of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The series premiered in on the 20th of January in.
